Pre-conceptual care is preparing body, mind and spirit for the miracle of conceiving, developing and birthing your baby. Reflexology also has a good reputation for helping sub-fertile couples to conceive.

Maternity Reflexology

I qualified for the Certificate of Competency in Maternity Reflexology after attending a Maternity Reflexology course at the Midwifery Centre in Berkshire. The course was compiled by leading author Susanne Enzer and presented by midwife and reflexologist Gill Thompson.

During your pregnancy, your body will go through significant changes; these changes will affect the emotional, hormonal and physiological balance of your body. Reflexology can help to alleviate or prevent discomfort arising from this imbalance and restore the body's equilibrium. Research has shown that regular reflexology treatments during pregnancy can shorten the duration of labour, with subjects often requiring less pain relief during the course of delivery.

Reflexology can be of great benefit during pregnancy and is very successful in the treatment of a wide variety of pregnancy discomforts and conditions. Benefits can include relief from common pregnancy ailments such as heartburn, back ache, fluid retention, constipation, groin and ligament pain.

However you don't have to have any pregnancy ailments - reflexology is a great way to relax and pamper yourself during pregnancy!

During my pre-conception and pregnancy treatments I can incorporate Natal Hypnotherapy CD's which were voted pregnancy product of the year in 2006. These award winning CD's will help you be more relaxed and in tune with your bodies reproductive cycle while preparing to conceive and during your pregnancy will help you be more relaxed, sleep better and prepare for birth.
